For the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival, Ming Juan Lou at InterContinental Taichung joins hands with two iconic European spirit houses — Royal Salute Scotch Whisky and Martell Cognac — drawing inspiration from the art of maturation to weave the essence of aged spirits into the time-honored craft of Cantonese mooncakes. The result is a gift of rare intention, created for those who matter most.
This year’s collection, titled Where the Moon is Aged into Light, layers moments of time, light, and flavor to tell a story of reunion and togetherness. Featuring a double-layered design, it seamlessly integrates sensory tasting with an elegant unboxing ritual. A deep-sea blue octagonal brocade box adorned with golden osmanthus and moonlight motifs reflects the quiet passage of longing and heartfelt wishes.
The gift box features a curated selection of six Cantonese-style mooncakes, including two exclusive spirit-pairing varieties:
