From October 16 to 25, 2026, the Taichung Jazz Festival unfolds at Civic Square. As music drifts through the city, the surrounding roads will be placed under traffic control. So that your journey remains as unhurried as your stay, we have prepared a recommended route to InterContinental Taichung.
Recommended Route
Please approach from the east (Yingcai Road side), travelling along Gongyi Road before turning onto Lane 311, Section 2, Taiwan Boulevard, for a smooth arrival at InterContinental Taichung.
Please Avoid
We kindly ask that you avoid Gongyi Road from the west (Section 1, Meicun Road side). Road closures and several left-turn restrictions along this stretch may lengthen your journey and disrupt your plans.
Traffic Control Details
- Road closures: Lane 155, Gongyi Road (Gongyi Road to Gongzheng Road); Zhongxing Street (Lane 285 to Lane 263)
- Control hours: Oct 16–22, 4:00 PM–11:00 PM; Oct 23–25, 2:00 PM–11:00 PM
- No left turns: Gongyi Road at Guanqian Road, Lane 155, Yingcai Road, and Section 1, Meicun Road
- No through traffic: Gongyi Road at Zhongxing Street. Please follow on-site guidance.
A Gentle Reminder
Traffic around the venue will be heavier during the festival. We recommend setting out early and travelling by public transport. Traffic officers will be on hand to guide you, and we thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to welcoming you safely, in a season when music flows through the city.
